Jeff Hingle grew up in Harahan, Louisiana, a small city near New Orleans. His parents, four older sisters and one older brother were ever-present sources of love and stability for the youngest of the family. Not unlike many children, Jeff drew and wrote a lot. Thankfully, he never completely outgrew these creative pursuits. While in high school Jeff fell in love with comic-strip cartooning, particularly the work of Bloom County creator Berke Breathed and Calvin & Hobbes creator Bill Watterson. Jeff attended Louisiana State University, where he developed Ramen Noodles and had it published in The Daily Reveille and later in The Tiger Weekly. For 14 years Jeff has worked in the behavioral health field, striving to model a recovery-oriented lifestyle for adults with mental health issues. He now resides in Covington, Louisiana.
